Too much seriousness is an illness. A few years ahead of us, most of our actions will be forgotten. What we will remember, though, is if we were having fun or not.

Fun is good for business. Laughter has a hugely pleasurable and calming effect, reduces the production of stress hormones, and boosts the immune system. It also releases feel-good chemicals in our brains and strengthens our bond with others, promoting an overall sense of well-being and feelings of togetherness. And there is a lot of fun happening around us if we keep our eyes open.

We have no rock-solid evidence, but we are sure there is a strong (and soon-to-be measurable) correlation between laughter and productivity. Maybe something to bring to next year’s strategy meeting.

Work should be made fun.
